France is a wonderful country to visit and with so many attractions found throughout the land, it is hardly surprising that it is the number one destination for many travellers from all over the world. France has it all, splendid beaches, the highest mountains in Europe as well as the grandest historical monuments found in the most fabulous cities.
When it comes to the countryside, France is hard to beat with rolling hills and superb castles to more austere southern regions and it’s monasteries and flowing rivers in every region. But wherever you happen to travel to in France, there are two things that make this country stand out from the crowd and these are the wonderful wines and gorgeous French cuisine, things that are unique to France.
With more hotels than any other country in Europe, France has a lot to offer, so whether you are looking for a low budget holiday in France or a more luxurious visit to France, you will find something to suit your needs and your budget.

A short weekend break in Paris is a sheer delight but then so is touring around the country exploring the various regions. The south coast has it all, but then so does the south west. There is so much to do in France, whether you just want to relax on a beach or do something a little more energetic like hiking, climbing or kayaking. You’ll find there are lots of places that offer you just what you need to recharge your batteries in some gorgeous settings.

When it comes to culture and tradition, it really does not get any better than in France. But it is not just Paris that houses some of the best art collections in the country. Provence, the Dordogne and many other regions have real treasures just waiting to be explored. Museums and art galleries are found in all the main towns throughout France, with many of them having permanent exhibitions on display.
With summer here and July just around the corner, the beaches along the Mediterranean coastline of France get pretty busy, so many visitors have found the beaches of the Languedoc offer them a more peaceful atmosphere in a perfect setting. To the north, along the Atlantic coast and south of the Loire, there are many beautiful sandy beaches too. Poitou-Charentes and Aquitaine, in particular are wonderful regions to visit. Then of course, there are the extensive beaches found south of Bordeaux which are out of this world.

That is the beauty of France, it is a big country with lots of space so whether you are looking for a quiet beach or want to venture deep into the rural countryside to get off the beaten track, there are plenty of places for you to go and just take it the wonderful atmosphere that’s perfectly French.
