My name is Stephen. I am a twenty two year old college student majoring in Technological Entrepreneurship. I have spent many hours, days, and weeks researching Hydrogen in vehicles. I am a huge fan of hydrogen energy and beleive it is the only true answer to oil. I have wrote multiple papers on Hydrogen Energy in Vehicles.
My question to you is why is honda only creating 150 units of this vehicle over the next three years. I understand the vehicle is not cheap at $600 a month lease but give the consumer a choice. An overwhelming amount of consumers would be interested in paying the $600 a month lease to buy an FCX. If Honda would invest more into the vehicle and mass produce the FCX Clarity they would definitely benefit financialy. The cost of the vehicle should also slowly decrease due to the fact that they are producing more vehicles. OF COURSE IT COST $600 A MONTH! THEY ARE ONLY LEASING 150 OF THEM!!! If they only produced 150 civics each year they would cost $600 a month as well! Hydrogen or not!!!

I have many arguments to take up with honda over the slow expansion they have planned of Hydrogen energy in vehicles. The most important argument being why such a tiny supply produced in an economy that has a massive demand for hydrogen vehicles.

I will personally send emails to DESC and Plug Power among other hydrogen companies explaining the urgent need for hydrogen filling stations. These companies should be more than happy to put some filling stations in other large cities across the Unites States, considering they wil reap all the profits from the hydrogen gas sales.

MY QUESTION TO HONDA IS THIS, YOU REALIZE YOU CAN NOT OWN THE WHOLE HYDROGEN MARKET. THE ONLY OPTION IS TO TEAM UP WITH HYDROGEN COMPANIES AND LET THEM RECEIVE GRANTS FROM THE GOVERNMENT TO MASS INSTALL HYDROGEN FILLING STATIONS THROUGHOUT LARGE CITIES IN THE UNITED STATES( WHILE PLUG POWER CONTINUES WORK ON THE HOME REFUELING STATION). THIS WILL THEN GIVE HONDA THE ABILITY TO CONCENTRATE ON MASS PRODUCING THE FCX FOR THE CITIES PROVIDED WITH STATIONS.

In closing I suggest and plead with Honda to please consider my ideas as I have put an exceptional amount of time into these. This is simply a summary of what In my opinion could be the difference from mass producing the FCX in 2018 or mass producing the FCX in 2010. THE CAR IS ALREADY DESIGNED THE HARD WORK IS DONE! LETS GET THIS TECHNOLOGY TO USE AND SAVE THE ECONOMY AND THE PLANET.
