Hi
In april 2007 I met my man as he randomly fell on my blog after having clicked on the "next blog" option, and left me a nice little message He is french and lives in Lyon, which is pretty much what will bring me to Lyon in the end of august. I will mainly study french at the University, but I have a passion for music and would as well like to find ways to continue singing and composing together with others. That is what brings me to this forum. I have tried to search for information on the internet, but I find it difficult as I am not knowing the french language.
I am really looking forward to this new chapter, and all information about music, and also theatre or dancing as it interests me as well, will be accepted with a big thank you =) |

Does your man not know anything about things on his area? Can he not help you?
What sort of singing are you interested in? Choral or with a band? |

It really depends what you're looking for.
You may find many bands in Lyon... there're in 1st, 2nd and 5th district many places where they play every nights !
You can also be interested in dance... but wich one ? What's your skill ? your style ? (i mainly can give you the main adresses for rock and salsa).
Concerning theatre, you'll have a look in the café-théatre that are really well known threw France (it's the town speciality). You may find many of them on Croix-Rousse, and old town.
Enjoy your way to Lyon
Friendly
Markus
PS : the smocking dog in the 5th district, is a well known pub where many English meet. (with a beer in the hand) _________________ Semper Fidelem |
