Post Post subject: Paris Metro Reply with quote

Hello, I am coming to Paris by Eurostar. I understand the Metro in that I have to get on a certain line to where I am going to, and I understand that when I get off the Eurostar there will be signs telling me how to get to the lines etc. What I am confused about is on the huge metro maps, the station that the Eurostar comes in at, is nowhere near the line I have to get. Is it a case of following the number at the Eurostar station and then changing, Im really confused and worrying. Thanks for any help.

I found the following on Eurostar's website: http://destinationsen.eurostar.com/sisp/index.htm?fx=destination&loc_id=134133&sub_section=Travel+Eurostar

Paris Gare du Nord

Gare du Nord is Eurostar's end destination in Paris. It is clean and modern but also one of the busiest stations in Europe. ... You can easily catch the Metro or the RER (urban bullet train); look up and follow the big, blue and white panels down the escalator.

You will also find a few useful tips on there.

Which line do you need to get? Or where is your destination?

Montparnasse is the only one you will be able to go directly to (take Line 4 direction Porte d'Orleans). For Ségur and Sevres Lecourbe you will need to change.
