| Does a Frenchman still kiss a lady's hand on greeting? Has anyone any stories about hand kissing? |

Hi,
Most of the time, this tradition is no more applicated now. But you may find such tradition among a particular circle (mainly old noble families, most of the time rich ones).
I also know that it's far usual in Poland, where i get used to practice it.

Ohh.. So hand-kissing is a language of status.. I'd love to have a French man who kisses hands. |

I don't think it's especially common these days. I can't say I've ever come across it, thought I wouldn't want a man kissing my hand! |

| My husband kisses my hand when driving in the car and it always sends a tingle down my arm - it's lovely. |

As fars as I know kissing on hand means respect for women what has been taught in history regarding human concern and compassion towards acquaintances.
My boyfriend kisses on hand sometimes when he is so romantic |

| Hand kissing might be an old-fashioned tradition but it shows respect. I think not only the noble men and rich men are doing this act. |
