Help for a Frenchy trying to get Southhampton

I wanted to visit friends that live on the isle of wight (near Porthmouth//southampton) and i was tryong to find an easy (and cheap) way to get there.

Up to now, i found flight not very costy that brings me to London Stanstead... But there, i can't find anything else going to central London and then to Southampton. Can anyone help me finding an other way to reach my destination ? Isn't there a bus line that brings me directly near the coast ?

Did you try looking for a flight direct to Southampton? Try skyscanner.com as this searches cheap flights.

The main coach service is National Express - this is much cheaper than trains but can take quite a long time! See nationalexpress.com

I find out that there're also flight to Heathrow not that costly...
I've already seen National Express, but they only travel from city to other cities. I imagined that i'd find out a bus line from london airport to my destination Well, i ask too much ? Normal, i'm French

I'll still keep looking for solution... (and may be have pictures of my trip).
