Post Post subject: Moving 2 dogs Reply with quote

Hi
My hubby & I are looking at moving to France in the near future and as we have 2 dogs (Bichon Frise) we want to be well prepared, can anyone tell me what I need to be doing in preparation for taking them.

Thanks Pauline

Hi

Renee Hemming at www.cani-excel.com is a pro who specialises in pet transport and relocation - she maybe able to advise!

If you don't want to take your dog back to the UK you don't require a full passport - just an export license from the farming and fisheries department. I can't remember the details now and it was 6 years ago. Sadly Sally died a couple of years ago and I now have a French dog who is now Bilingual Smile In France there is an organisation called the SPA which is a little like the RSPCA and an animal shelter.

Good Luck

You're welcome.

No I don't live in France now although I did years ago - I lived in La Baule and did a "stage" in a hotel as part of my degree in French.
