Eh bien is "well"/Bueno/pues, right?

Is "alors" the same thing as "donc"/so?

For example,

Elle n'a pas de devoirs (et) alors/donc va a la chez du son amie=She doesn't have any homework, so she's going to go to her friends house=No tiene tarea entonces/asi que va a ir a la casa de su amiga

Alors/donc, qu'esc-ce que tu vas manger?=So, what are you going to have (to eat)?=Entonces, ¿Que vas a comer?

..... alors va nager....=then she's going to swim=.....despues va a nadar

In this case the right way to say is using donc as it implies a result of the fisrt part of the sentence. =In this case, hte right way to say this/it is using "donc," as/since it implies a result of the first part of the sentence.

You'll not say such things because there's no link beetween the two sentences. Most of peaple say 'Eh bien' but it should be written 'Et bien'.

It's due to those who don't write correctly. The right word is 'Bien'. It's a shortcut to 'Et bien'.
