Post subject: Short break in France |
|
|
Hi
My hubby and I are looking to move to France in the near future to open our own business.
We have been on the websites for accomodation for sale, along with business ideas, and we have seen some great ones all within our budget.
We are looking at coming to France at the end of July or August, for a mid week break to have a look around, and see a few estate agents.
If we where to book our flights without accomodation would there be plenty of places to stay when we get there, or are we best booking here in England first? _________________ In a perfect world every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog |

It heavily depends where you want to go ... In French Riviera or Paris for instance, there won't be much places !
It also depends of the kind of hotel you can afford.
So the first question ... Where do you plan to go ? _________________ Semper Fidelem |

Hi
Sorry we are intending to go to Limoge or near that area. It will be a mid week break, as I work at the weekends.
Money is no object and we do not mind whether its a hotel, b&b, a family run business. Just want something decent and clean.
It will only be for 2 Adults and we don't have any disabilities, so we are open to anything really.

Hi ...
Sorry for answearing so lately.
If i were you, i'd book now for vacation in Limoge. It's not a crowded place in summer but, it's better not being bac to the wall as we say in French. Yuo may find many BB on the net (and IMO a good way for vacations) called "Chambre d'hôtes".
The region is very enjoying, quiet and fresh (it's so hot everywhere else !!). I've just been once in Limoge and find out a very lovely city, and some cities around are also to be seen... (i think for instance to Availlé Limousine, or Charroux)
Enjoy your trip, take shots and show us
Friendly,

Hi Marcus.
Thanks for you reply. I will have a look on the internet.
We are going to France with a view to moving there, we are looking to run our own business. The business will be Carp fishing for the gents with a beauty spa for the ladies.
This is if we can find something suitable.

Hi
Although running Gites and a Carp lake are not exactly the same. It's worth while reading this article: ww.brittany-internet.com/GitesFrance/tabid/106/Default.aspx It helped me when we moved to Brittany to run a gite complex.
I also found a website for a carp lake in Brittany, maybe worth talking to them to see what it's like? ww.blavetvalleylakes.com
Good Luck |
