Post subject: passe compose v. passe simple |
|
|
Merci beaucoup |

Hi,
There's two or three difference...
First, the passé simple is always used in written language (as oral has nearly forgotten it). Most of the time, you should use imparfait or passé composé.
The passé composé is used when you're telling about an action that is finished or takes time, but not to describe an action in the past. For a description, you'll use imparfait or passé simple. As these are more briefly...
It's rather difficult to give rules as i use them only by feeling... I might help on exemples more easily. _________________ Semper Fidelem |
