France tips?

I'm going on a 3.5 week trip with my partner from mid-April-mid-May. We fly into Paris, but want to leave immediately for a town in Burgundy or the Loire (we will be spending our final 9 days in Paris). Once we land in Paris, we'll have 6 days in France before flying out of Marseille to Athens. We're young and want to eat, drink, and explore. If you had 6 days in France, where would you go? And, would going to Dijon or Tours be worthwhile? From there we're thinking of heading south to Aix-en-Provence or Avignon before ending up in Marseille.... I think part of our problem is that we're so open to anything! We would love tips and advise if anyone has been to these areas. Though we've been thinking of Dijon or Tours, but are very open to suggestions and would also love any hotel advise. We are mostly staying in low-mid range places and love old/boutique hotels with charm.

base on ur route down to marseille, maybe u'd wanna stop by these few places in order,

1. Sarlat - old medieval town
2. Rocamadour - just east of Sarlat, famous for its buildings on cliff
3. Carcasonne - old fortified town

u can search their info on the net.
