Post subject: Non EU Carte de Sejour and travel |
|
|
Hello,
I was born in the US but have been living in France for almost one year and have purchased my home. I have my Carte de Sejour but have been unable to get answers on traveling in other parts of EU. Currently, I have applied for my French Driving License and begun the process to renew the visa.
Some tell me that I cannot leave France without invalidating my visa and others say no problem. I need some straight information preferably in writing! What is the French Policy on non-EU with a long term visa traveling in the EU?
If someone has the link for the information I need, I would be very grateful. With friends in Italy, England and Poland, it would be nice to be able to visit them. Additionally, I live so close to Spain that it would be nice to see it as well.
Gratefully,

| IŽm not certain but I believe that youŽll need more visas. Why not check with the American consulate, theyŽll know for certain. |
