The 73-year-old star, who was born on Crete, delighted her fans in a final performance she made at the Herodes Atticus theatre, in Athens.

French nuclear leaks spark concerns from Criirad groupCriirad, which is a French nuclear monitoring group, has said they are concerned by the number accidental nuclear spills from power stations in France in a short space of time.
Corinne Castanier, the director of Criirad, explained that the organisation is alarmed by the number of people contaminated by radiation in as many as four different incidents.

French teenage footballer David Ngog signs with LiverpoolFrench teenage striker David Ngog from Paris St Germain has been signed to Liverpool Football Club and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has completed everything that needed to be done to get the 19-year-old as a member of the UK team.
Ngog, who is hotly-tipped as a footballer, has put his name to a four-year deal at Anfield for an undisclosed amount being paid for him and he is the fourth player that Liverpool have signed this summer.

French speaking Sir Paul McCartney plays QuebecFormer-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney played his greatest hits and spoke in French to over 200,000 music fans at a Quebec City concert, although nationalists opposed the event.
Sir Paul being booked for the concert was criticised by some because of Great Britain’s 1759 conquest of New France and Quebec, however, Sir Paul made an appeal before his performance that they should "smoke the pipes of peace."
