Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards’ autobiography
Legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has started work on his autobiography, which will be published by Little, Brown and Company by 2010, and for which he will receive $7.3m (£3.6m), according to reports.

Keith Richards, 63, writes openly about his music, heroin addiction and rows with co-writer of Rolling Stones’ hits Sir Mick Jagger.

Rolling Stones Keith RichardsMichael Pietsch of Keith Richards’ publishers said that samples he had read were "delicious," and speaking of Keith Richards he added: "For nearly 50 years he has been at the very centre of the vortex of stardom and of entertainment as a cultural force."

Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman and fellow guitarist Ron Wood have already written their own autobiographical stories and Sir Mick Jagger has apparently tried writing his, but had to give up because he said he couldn’t remember anything interesting enough.

Keith Richards is getting help with the writing of his autobiography from close friend James Fox, who is already the author of White Mischief.
