ConnectU take legal action against Facebook
The website ConnectU founders are taking legal action against rival social networking site Facebook.

ConnectU claim Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg stole their idea while at Harvard University and they accuse him of fraud and misappropriation of trade secrets. The Federal case against Mark Zuckerberg further requests that ConnectU be given the ownership of the Facebook websit.

ConnectUThe ConnectU founders, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss and Divya Narenda, state that while at the university Mark Zuckerberg had agreed to write computer code for them, but that he delayed doing this and then went on to create Facebook using their ideas.

Facebook, like MySpace, has become incredibly popular worldwide with an estimated 31 million users, whilst ConnectU only have some 70,000.

Facebook's lawyers claim that ConnectU had no hard evidence to support their allegations and has asked a Boston district court judge to dismiss the case against them.
