Live Earth gets less TV viewers than Concert for Diana
Far less people watched the Live Earth concerts on BBC television than those who tuned in for Concert for Diana, it has been reported.

The Live Earth concerts from Wembley Stadium were also plagued by bad language from performers, and 123 complaints were made about this matter. Even more rock fans were upset because the band Metallica's set was cut short.

Lady DianaMadonna used bad language and so did Genesis singer Phil Collins who swore while changing the lyrics to one of his hit songs. American comedian Chris Rock, who was a presenter, swore on air as well.

The BBC issued an apology for the behaviour of the stars.

Hard rock band Metallica played Sad But True and Nothing Else Matters but Jonathan Ross interrupted them to introduce a recording of Weather With You by Crowded House from Live Earth in Sydney, and 413 complaints were made about this.

If all that wasn’t bad enough, critics argued the Live Earth gigs themselves added to pollution of the world, and claimed that many of the celebrities involved were bad role models because they flew around the world, often accompanied by their entourages.
