France footballer David Trézéguet stays with Juventus
French football star David Trézéguet has put an end to rumours suggesting he was relocating to Arsenal as a replacement for Thierry Henry by signing a new deal with Juventus.

David Trézéguet, 29, who was born in Rouen, France, is a French-Argentinean striker who played for Juventus and France, and has scored 145 goals in seven seasons for Juventus.

David TrézéguetDavid Trézéguet has just signed a contract with Juventus again that will keep him in Turin until June 2011.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had been reported to be interested in signing David Trézéguet after his close friend Thierry Henry made his Ł16m move to Barcelona.

However, David Trézéguet has chosen to remain with Juventus, even though a year ago the team was demoted for their role in the corruption scandal in Italy and was stripped of two Serie A titles for the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons.

The Juventus website, juventus.it, says with regard to David Trézéguet’s new deal : "Juventus Football Club has extended David Trézéguet 's contract until 30 June, 2011."
