Mel C says a Spice Girl reunion is planned

Pop singer Melanie C, who is usually known as Mel C, and was formerly known as “Sporty Spice,” has spoken of a likely reunion of the Spice Girls, although she pointed out that it will only be for a short while and is just intended to say goodbye to all the fans.

It has been rumoured that her old band-mates Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Geri Halliwell had already agreed to reform the Spice Girls but Mel C hadn’t been willing for this to happen.

Mel C, real name Melanie Chisholm, admitted that she liked Take That a lot. Take That got back together last year and have had a lot of renewed success since then.

It is also rumoured that the reunited Spice Girls will be playing six live shows around the world with gigs in London, Tokyo and Las Vegas, to promote their Greatest Hits album, and are likely to start rehearsing for the shows after Emma Bunton gives birth to her first baby later this summer.

The Spice Girls were one of the most successful British pop acts ever, with many number ones starting with 1996's Wannabe, and they started the trend for girl groups to rival the success of all the boy bands.
