Big Brother removes Emily Parr for racial comment
Bristol drama student Emily Parr has been removed from the Big Brother house because she used a racially offensive word to another housemate.

Emily Parr, 19, had used the term “nigger” and was dismissed from the Big Brother house at 0330 BST and has been forbidden from having any further contact with the 11 other contestants.

Emily Parr removed from Big Brother houseEmily had said: "Are you pushing it out, you nigger?" to Charley Uchea, when they were dancing in the living room. Charley Uchea responded: "You are in trouble."

Apparently, the offensive term was not broadcast during a live stream, and had been reported straight away to the production team.

Emily Parr claimed she was only joking but a spokeswoman for Channel 4 explained, "such behaviour won't be tolerated".

Angela Jain, who is head of the Big Brother commissioning team, explained their decision: "The word nigger is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use."
