George Michael had been arrested in October 2006 after motorists reported a driver slumped over the wheel at traffic lights in north London.
Prosecutor Andrew Torrington stated that tests showed a quantity of an anti-depressant in George Michael’s system as well as the dance club drug GHB, which is an illegal substance.
Besides this, cannabis was also detected in George Michael’s blood, but this is not being claimed to have caused his condition.
District Judge Katherine Marshall said it wasn’t important what the drug or drugs were, but the condition George Michael was in when he was arrested was what they needed to focus on.
George Michael, who was not at the trial had already pleaded guilty to driving while unfit due to the influence of drugs, and he could face a maximum penalty of six months imprisonment.
George Michael must now attend Brent Magistrates' Court for sentencing on 8 June.
