The Red Piano cancellations are in Venice (5 and 6 June), Berlin (22 June), Moscow (3 July), Paris (9 September) and Seville (14 September).
The show in Seville had already been put back from an original 18 May booking due to technical problems but now it won’t go ahead at all.
A spokesman for Sir Elton John said: "We do of course appreciate that Elton's fans will be disappointed at this news, and we are already looking into the possibility of returning to the affected cities in the very near future."
Elton John’s fans will be able to see him perform at more than a dozen other shows this year, including some summer concerts in the UK.
