Pop star Sir Elton John cancels Red Piano tour of Europe
All six the dates on rock star Sir Elton John's European Red Piano tour have been cancelled because the tour promoter was unable to guarantee the shows could go ahead.

The Red Piano shows, which were devised in Las Vegas combining ambitious stage design with video screens and giant inflatable props, and are very different to the other Elton John concerts, which are still running as scheduled.

Sir Elton JohnThe Red Piano cancellations are in Venice (5 and 6 June), Berlin (22 June), Moscow (3 July), Paris (9 September) and Seville (14 September).

The show in Seville had already been put back from an original 18 May booking due to technical problems but now it won’t go ahead at all.

A spokesman for Sir Elton John said: "We do of course appreciate that Elton's fans will be disappointed at this news, and we are already looking into the possibility of returning to the affected cities in the very near future."

Elton John’s fans will be able to see him perform at more than a dozen other shows this year, including some summer concerts in the UK.
