Kid Nation is new US reality TV based on Lord of the FliesA new reality TV show, probably called Kid Nation, and based on William Golding's novel Lord of the Flies, is scheduled for American television, according to reports.
Kid Nation, will be keeping an eye on 40 children from eight to 16 without them having any guidance from their parents and will be screened towards the end of the year on CBS, Daily Variety has said.
The novel Lord of the Flies is about a group of boys marooned on a desert island, who descend into disturbing behaviour with no one to stop them. Kid Nation, which will be produced by Tom Forman, will be set in Bonanza City, an old mining town, which has been deserted for very many years and the children would be given choices between vitally needed things, like food, and things they desire such as toys. The children are not “prisoners” however, and are able to go home whenever they wish.
