Gordon Brown is expected to replace Tony Blair as new PM on Wednesday 27 June.
The six deputy leadership contenders all got sufficient backing to enter the contest and now take part in a series of 10 official hustings as they seek to take over from John Prescott as deputy leader.
Gordon Brown will also take part in those hustings, but he was already nominated by 88% of Labour MPs after three days of canvassing at Westminster, and has been tipped as the most likely successor to Tony Blair for some time.
Chancellor's campaign manager Jack Straw is reported to have been "delighted" the Labour party had united behind Gordon Brown with "such overwhelming support."
