It has been reported in the press that Amelle Berrabah spent the night in a cell, before being released on bail and returning to America with the rest of the Sugababes group.
Amelle Berrabah joined the Sugababes in 2005, as a replacement for Mutya Buena who had left the group.
Sugababes hit the big time with their chart debut in 2000 with the single Overload, and the line-up at the time was Keisha Buchanan, Siobhan Donaghy and Mutya Buena.
The Sugababes made British chart history in 2002 by becoming the youngest female group to reach the top charting spot with Freak Like Me.
