The Metropolitan Police said that a 46-year-old man had been arrested for alleged assault but has since been released on bail and Hugh Grant’s lawyers confirmed an investigation had been launched.
Hugh Grant, who starred in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and About a Boy, has a west London home, and it is thought that the attack took place in the vicinity of it.
Hugh Grant is reported to have presented himself at Notting Hill police station on Wednesday, where he was arrested and questioned for an hour before being bailed to return for further questioning in a month’s time.
