Madonna denies rumours of a second African child adoption
Pop singer Madonna has denied reports and rumours that she is going back to the African country of Malawi to adopt a second child.

The often controversial Madonna, 48, had sparked a lot of criticism and debate when she adopted one-year-old David Banda from a Malawi orphanage last year, but her spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg explained: "She is overseeing the building of a children's healthcare centre."

Pop singer MadonnaDavid Banda is currently living with Madonna and her family in London after she was granted an interim custody order but some critics have said that Madonna is using her wealth and celebrity status to give her the advantage and to push forward the adoption process in Malawi faster.

Madonna denies this and under the rules of the current court order, David Banda can live with Madonna for 18 months, with his progress as part of her family being reviewed by Malawi officials.

Madonna is married to British film director Guy Ritchie and as well as her adopted son, she has a 10-year-old daughter, Lourdes, and a six-year-old son, Rocco.
