Rolling Stone Keith Richards claims he snorted late father’s ashe

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, who is famous for his past substance abuse and hell-raising lifestyle as well as being a top rock musician, has said he snorted the ashes of his late father whilst under the influence of drugs. Keith Richards' father, Bert died at the aged 84 in 2002.

Keith Richards, 63, is reported in the NME to have said: "He was cremated and I couldn't resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow," and added that his father's ashes "went down pretty well".

However, Jane Rose, Keith Richards' manager, claimed that what Keith Richards had said was only a joke and that she could not believe that anyone had taken the claim seriously.

NME’s Mark Beaumont, however, said that Keith Richards was not joking when he made the shocking revelation to him.

"He did seem to be quite honest about it. There were too many details for him to be making it up," Mark Beaumont is reported to have said.
