Britney Spears, 25, had gone to the rehab centre on February 21 after shaving her own head following weeks of bizarre public behaviour that was thought to be sparked off by her divorce troubles and it was speculated that she may have been also suffering post natal depression after the birth in September 2006 of her second baby in a year.
Before her arrival at Promises Malibu, Britney Spears had also spent less than a day at rock guitarist Eric Clapton's Crossroads rehab centre in Antigua.
Britney Spears had then gone back to Los Angeles, where she shaved her head in a beauty salon, and then checked in and out of the Promises Malibu Treatment Centre before deciding she should stay.
