Hollywood star Angelina Jolie adopts Pax Thien from Vietnam
Hollywood movie star Angelina Jolie has completed the adoption of a three-year-old Vietnamese boy, who was born Pham Quang Sang, but will be known as Pax Thien Jolie.

Pax Thien is a combination of the Latin word for peace and the Vietnamese word for heaven and Angelina Jolie has renamed him in this way.

Actress Angelina JolieAngelina Jolie, 31, has left Hanoi the capital of Vietnam after she obtained a visa to take Pax Thien Jolie to start his new life as her son in America.

Angelina Jolie mostly managed to avoid the paparazzi in Vietnam by staying out of the way in luxury hotels and by travelling in cars with blacked-out windows, although at one point she had said she was concerned about what effect bringing Pax Thien into the public glare would have on him.

Pax Thien had lived in an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City since being abandoned when he was born.

Angelina Jolie’s five-year-old son Maddox, who was also adopted from Cambodia, and two-year-old Zahara, who was adopted from Ethiopia, joined her in Vietnam.
