Katie Price aka Jordan named Grattan Celebrity Mother of the Year

Glamour girl, model and media star Jordan, real name Katie Price has won the title of Grattan Celebrity Mum of the Year.

Jordan, 28, who is mother to Harvey, four, and two-year-old Junior, claimed the title after being selected by a public vote and she beat Jade Goody, Kate Moss and Heather Mills McCartney for the privilege and she said proudly: “I’m so pleased to receive this award. Harvey and Junior will be so proud of their mummy.”

Harvey, who is the son of football star Dwight Yorke, was born partially blind and has a growth disorder and Jordan has understandably found it tough looking after him, especially with all the public and media demands on her.

Mike Hancox, who made the presentation of the award to Jordan, commented: "The general public showed in their voting just how much they respect and admire her as a mother."

"Katie has become a symbol of how a person can constantly be in the public eye, whilst remaining a devoted and doting mum."

Jordan has announced her award at her Myspace blog where fans have been rushing to congratulate her.
