Angelina Jolie to adopt Vietnamese boy quicker than thought
Adoption agencies in Vietnam have decided to speed up the process for Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie’s application to adopt a three-year old boy from the country.

Vu Duc Long, head of the Vietnam international adoption department, explained that only some final paperwork had to be processed in Ho Chi Minh City and then the adoption could take place.

Angelina JolieAdoptions in Vietnam can often take up to six months, and Vu Duc Long had originally said the adoption could take up to three months to go through the necessary official channels.

Angelina Jolie, 31, had filed adoption papers without partner actor Brad Pitt because under Vietnamese law unmarried couples are not allowed to adopt children.

Nguyen Van Trung, director of the Tam Binh 2 orphanage described the little boy Angelina Jolie is adopting as follows: "He is three and a half years old. He is in good health. He is a little bit shy."
