Kate Winslet takes settlement over Grazia magazine’s diet claim
Hollywood actress Kate Winslet is reported to have accepted a "substantial" settlement in her libel action over Grazia weekly magazine’s claim that she had visited a diet doctor because she was so concerned about her weight. The payment is being donated to an eating disorder charity.

The magazine in stating that Kate Winslet, 32, was worried about her weight suggested that she was a hypocrite seeing as she had been known to publicly condemn Hollywood’s obsession with thin women.

Kate WinsletGrazia magazine has made an apology to the actress and accepted that Kate Winslet went for medical advice and treatment for a neck problem.

Kate Winslet, who was nominated for best actress at this year's Oscars, had been reported to have attended the Chinese Healing Institute in Santa Monica, California.

A statement issued by Grazia magazine said: "We are very happy to set the record straight and sincerely apologise to Kate for the distress caused."

And Kate Winslet is reported to have responded: "I am delighted that this matter has been resolved, and the record set straight. I am not a hypocrite."
