Courtney Love, 42, was sentenced to 180 days drug treatment for probation violations including assault and battery and illegal possession of painkillers.
The lawsuit, filed March 1 in Orange County Superior Court, claims that Courtney Love made one payment of $10,000 in August 2005 to the Beau Monde centre, but says she did not make any further payments after that and it reads: "Although demanded multiple times by plaintiff, orally and in writing, none of the balance stated has been paid."
Courtney Love’s lawyer said he expected the legal action "will be resolved to the satisfaction of all parties shortly".
Courtney Love, who is the former lead singer of the band Hole has battled drugs in the past as well as having been in trouble with the law.
