David Beckham injures knee in Spanish League game
Football star David Beckham will be away from the action for at least a month and maybe two, after he injured his right knee ligament during a Spanish League game last weekend.

It was during Real Madrid's 1-1 tie with Getafe on Sunday that David Beckham, 31, suffered the injury as he collided with an advertising sign behind the goal. David Beckham was forced to limp of the field and a subsequent scan the following day revealed that he had injured his ligament.

Football star David BeckhamDavid Beckham’s current problem means that any chance of his being recalled to England's national team for the European Championship qualifiers this month would be lost.

And it wasn’t only David Beckham who was injured because not long after fellow team-mate Jose Antonio Reyes had to be taken off on a stretcher after hurting his left knee.

Both David Beckham and Jose Antonio Reyes will now have to miss the European Champions League game at Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
