Prince Charles speaks out against McDonald’s
Prince Charles is reported to have been criticising McDonald's at the launch of a public health campaign in the United Arab Emirates, where on a tour of a diabetes centre in Abu Dhabi, he said to nutritionist Nadine Tayara that banning the fast food restaurants was "key".

The Prince of Wales is a keen supporter of growing and eating organic fruit and vegetables and in 1986, he set up a farm on his Highgrove Estate where no artificial pesticides or fertilisers are used.

McDonald’sPrince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall had been told about new initiatives to improve the United Arab Emirates nation's diet and fitness levels and his comments were made in response to this.

The McDonald's company said it was "disappointed" and said that other members of the royal family have a more up-to-date picture of their current approach to food, which included improved labelling and supporting sustainable agriculture.
