It was another serious fire in Paris in a very short period of time, 39 people have died in the French capital in just over a week. The authorities reject the similarities between the incidents from August 26 and 29 that cost lives of 24 African immigrants in two Paris buildings.
The disasters have brought into the limelight the questions of safety and living conditions of immigrants in Paris.
The fires have led to marches with thousands of protestants, who went through the streets of the French capital demanding immediate investigation concerning low-cost housing for immigrants as well as decrying the forced evacuation of Paris squats last week.
