Director of Titanic James Cameron films the tomb of JesusThe Lost Tomb of Jesus is the title of a new documentary film by Titanic director James Cameron and it looks at a tomb found near Jerusalem in 1980, which is claimed to be that of Jesus and his family.
A coffin discovered in the burial cave marked "Judah son of Jesua" contains the son of Jesus and Mary according to James Cameron who says statistical analysis and DNA support his claims.
The Israel Antiquities Authority state that six coffins found in the tomb had the names Mary, Matthew, Jesua son of Joseph, Mary, Jofa (Joseph, Jesus' brother), and Judah son of Jesua, inscribed on them. Archaeologists, however, think that the tomb is more likely to be that of a Jewish family who had similar names to that of Jesus and his family. The names in question were common at that time period. James Cameron is going to display two of the coffins at a news conference in New York on Monday, and speaking of his documentary and the importance of the discovery he said: "It doesn't get bigger than this."
