The Ministry of Defence say that Prince Harry is going to Iraq
The British Ministry of Defence has stated that Prince Harry, who is third in line to the throne, will be sent to Iraq and Prince Harry's Blues and Royals regiment is being deployed to the country for a six-month tour of duty.

This announcement means that Prince Harry could become the first member of the British royal family to see combat since his uncle, Prince Andrew served as a Royal Navy helicopter pilot in the Falklands War back in 1988.

Prince HarryThe Ministry of Defence said that the decision to send Prince Harry and his regiment was made in conjunction with the general chief of staff, Prince Harry's commanding officer and the royal household.

This news arrives only a day after Tony Blair had said that Britain would withdraw 1,600 of its troops from Iraq in coming months.

Former boxing champion Chris Eubank was so concerned about the matter that he was arrested for causing a possible breach of the peace after displaying a banner on his truck calling upon Tony Blair not to send Prince Harry to the “catastrophic illegal war.”

This story is being buried in the UK press. Prince Harry going to Iraq is getting front page headlines, but Chris Eubanks protest is hidden away where it can only be found if you already know about it. Reports are describing his arrest as being for 'unauthorised protest' which is ridiculous as it is lawful to protest peacefully in Britain as one of our democratic rights. Another example of the UK government being ready to fight for 'democracy' in another country while destroying democracy in its own.
