The delay in Anna Nicole Smith’s funeral was due to an argument over her five-month-old daughter Dannielyn's paternity, and the three men claiming to be her father had asked that her body be kept in a morgue until the DNA test results were released.
The judge dealing with the case, however, ordered the release of Anna Nicole Smith's body saying that enough DNA had already been collected for testing.
"There was no need to in any way delay this process. We want to have a proper burial ... just out of respect for Anna Nicole," attorney Ronald Rale is reported to have said.
