Ofcom, who deal with media complaints, received around 40,000 regarding the way Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was treated by Jade Goody and others in the show.
Following this reaction by the public, Jade Goody, who was nominated for eviction from Celebrity Big Brother, was evicted with 82% of the vote.
The Channel 4 television was forced to take make sure Jade Goody was safe after she left the house and banned the usual crowd, which gathers outside the Big Brother house on such nights.
Jade Goody’s agent, said that Jade was so upset that she was being treated for shock and depression after being evicted.
