US drug company Pfizer to make job cuts
The American drug-manufacturing firm Pfizer has announced that because it faces such fierce rising competition from other drug companies, it intends to cut 10,000 jobs in order to reduce annual costs by up to $2bn (£1.01bn).

One analyst maintained that Pfizer are in danger of losing 41 percent of its sales to its competitors between 2010 and 2012.

American drug firmPfizer will be closing three research sites in Michigan, which employ some 2,300 people, and two factories in the United States, as well as others in Japan and France.

Two manufacturing plants in New York and Nebraska are earmarked for closure.

The New York factory employs 600 people but only 25 jobs will be lost in Nebraska.

Pfizer claim that the Michigan employees will be offered alternative jobs.

Pfizer also said it would cut 20 percent of its European sales force but hasn’t revealed how many people work for it there.

If men knew to stop fathering babies before 38 there would be less illness and many fewer people with cancers, diabetes1, schizophrenias, and autism etc. France would have far less expensive healthcare and everyone would be happier and safer and enjoy life.happy-smiley
