The two convicted and executed aides of Saddam Hussein, just hours after they were hanged and in keeping with Muslim traditions, were buried on Monday in a garden near where the former Iraqi president was laid to rest two weeks ago.
The bodies of Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti, Saddam Hussein's half-brother, and former judge Awad Hamed al-Bander, who had been convicted of crimes against humanity, were given over to local officials after they had been flown to an American army base.
