Sir Paul McCartney wants a dignified divorce
Ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney has asked everyone connected with his divorce from Heather Mills McCartney to behave in a dignified way.

Sir Paul McCartney, 64, was speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today programme at London's Royal Albert Hall, where his classical album Ecce Cor Meum received its world premiere.

The McCartneys had announced their separation in May after four years of marriage, however, much of the couple's divorce has been gossiped about out in the press long before it gets to the courts, and damaging allegations about both Sir Paul and wife Heather have been made.

Sir Paul said he was hopeful that the situation over the divorce would eventually get better and he added that music had helped him to stay optimistic.

His new classical album Ecce Cor Meum - Behold My Heart - took Paul McCartney nearly a decade to compose and was inspired by his late first wife Linda.
