Windows Vista is the long-awaited update of Windows that was originally meant to be released in August 2006. The software has been being developed for more than five years and the release will be a simultaneous launch worldwide.
Windows Vista is a major overhaul of Windows and updates many of the main technologies in it with new elements including improved security, an improved 3D interface, as well as new sound and networking technologies.
Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer will unveil the American launch at an event at the New York Stock Exchange.
