Justin Timberlake, 25, who is also nominated for two awards, will be hosting the annual show and will perform alongside P Diddy, The Killers, and Snoop Dogg.
"I'm definitely more nervous hosting this show than performing on of my own," said Justin Timberlake.
Other acts hoping to win include best group nominees Keane, Robbie Williams and Mercury Prize winners the Arctic Monkeys, who are shortlisted in the 'alternative' category.
MTV Europe awards will be staged at the Bella Center Convention Hall in Copenhagen before an audience of 3,000 people and an extra 10,000 are expected at Copenhagen's Radhuspladsen Town Square.
