We made homemade candies, cookies, bars and a wide variety of finger foods. We would also comb the magazines to come up with the latest Christmas decorating ideas so that each year we would have new displays for our guest to see. We would have so many people in the house each year that we could hardly move. And finally we would spent all of our time filling punch bowls, making coffee and replenishing serving platters.
But now we have an idea how we can easily make things simpler. Maybe it would be better to eliminate co-workers from the list and celebrate the holidays with friends. After all we have holiday parities at work where we could celebrate the season.
We decided it would be better to have smaller gatherings on three different evenings during this Christmas 2006 season. We can invite neighbours over for one evening, friends for another and relatives on another. We can serve appetizers and drinks. We still can make a variety of homemade sweets and come up with different Christmas decorating ideas, and with fewer people in the house you can actually see the displays. It's good to concentrate on decorating the trees well. We would place one in the living room and one in the family room. You can also have candles and greenery arranged on the tables or use large vases filled with a variety of evergreens along with red and white carnations. Add a smile on your face and your Christmas preparations are completed.
