Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer for Berlin premiereTroubled film director Roman Polanski's latest work, The Ghost Writer, is to receive its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in February, it has been announced.
Polanski is currently under house arrest in Switzerland and faces possible extradition to America where he is wanted for sentencing for having had unlawful sex with a teenage girl back in 1977. After admitting his guilt the director had fled the US and had been living in France until his arrest.
 Polanski’s latest film The Ghost Writer is based on Robert Harris's political thriller novel The Ghost. Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Kim Cattrall and Olivia Williams all have starring roles in the movie. Harris, who has worked with Polanski on a previous occasion, has said that the French-born director was able to continue working on the film even though he was a prisoner in Switzerland earlier this year.
