French airline Air France-KLM to make job cuts
The French airline company Air France-KLM has revealed that it is going to make 1,700 job cuts in 2010. This decision follows a quarterly loss reported that was a lot worse than the company had been expecting.

Air France-KLM, which is the air company with the largest revenue in all of Europe, is planning to introduce the cuts by asking staff to take voluntarily quit their posts.  The airline was already proposing to make job cuts in the lead up to 31 March 2010.

Air France-KLMA net loss of 147m euros ($219m; £131m) has been reported by Air France between the months of July and September this year, which is compared against the 27m euros for the same length of time in 2008.

Air France-KLM has already made 2,700 staff redundant in its last financial year because it was hit hard by the global economic crisis.
