Mr Winehouse was critical of the current healthcare system in the UK, and he complained that there was not much on offer for drug addicts who did not have the money needed to pay for private treatment.
Mr Winehouse is making a film documentary looking at the problems addicts face if they cannot afford to get the care they require.
He said that he thinks that too much government funding for drug rehab is allocated to the criminal justice system, where a convicted addict could be treated for nothing.
