
Russian scientists had claimed that it was discovered along with Hitler's jawbone and it had been displayed in Moscow since 2000, however, new DNA tests showed that in reality it belonged to a woman aged between 20 and 40.
Nick Bellantoni, an archaeologist from the University of Connecticut went to Russia to get a sample of the skull fragment, and he had suspected that it was not a man’s bone before the results of the tests were known.
There have been many theories about how Hitler died but this new evidence has cast doubts on the theory that he shot himself.
